Abstract :
In order to optimize the use of the frequency spectrum is often performed frequency sharing between two or more service providers. The Government of Indonesia through PERMENKOMINFO number 25 in 2014 allow the use of frequency sharing between the Fixed Satellite Service and Fixed Service in extended C-Band frequency. Frequency sharing conditions can lead to potential interference so both services need a good coordination so that both services can operate properly. In this study conducted a simulation of frequency sharing between the FSS and the FS in the extended C-Band frequecy using software SPECTRAemc. Found cases of interference in the area of South Lampung involving an FSS station transmitter and several receivers FS stations that being around. The parameters used to evaluate the level of interference at the receiving station is a carrier-to-interference (C/I) parameter. Then it is necessary to find appropriate mitigation techniques to reduce the level of interference. Mitigation techniques done by changing the position of the earth station of the starting position so that it can be determined the minimum mitigation distance of the earth station. Then do also some changes in both parameters of the earth station and the terrestrial station to obtain a value of C/I above the threshold. From the simulation using software SPECTRAemc result that FSS stations and FSS stations can operate without disturbing each other when the FSS station moved as far minimum 7,21 km from its original position towards 213.56° azimuth. Besides, it is necessary to change the antenna polarization FSS stations to isolate the interference signal at the receiving antenna and the FS statiosn is necessary to increase the transmit power of the FS transmitter station to increase the value of C/I.
