Abstract :
This paper presents the complete implementation of superstrate embedded dielectric resonator antenna on patch. The hybrid structure is operated under controlled electric field and magnetic field. The design is loaded with superstrate. The Meta material fluid is filled in two concentric cylindrical DRA and it is placed on annular copper etched ring. The results on reflection coefficient S11, Gain and Radiation pattern of various stages of antenna design have been simulated using HFSS (High Frequency Simulator) and presented. High permittivity material Barium Zirconate mixed with Silicon oil is used as a fluid inside the cylindrical resonator. The dielectric constant of ferroelectric material can be varied with the application of applied dc voltage. The resonant frequency of the antenna can be changed by changing the dielectric constant of fluid. It has been investigated that use of superstrate increases antenna gain from 6.6dB to 9.28 dB. The antenna is designed to operate at resonant frequency of 3.9 GHz. By varying biasing voltage reconfigurability can be obtained.
