Abstract :
Tactile sensing is paramount important in motor rehabilitation; several techniques are exiting for a tactile sensing. The successful interface of tactile and haptic devices achieves aim of human machine interface system. In the process of rehabilitation sensing and perception correctly is the important aspect of subject progress towards right diagnoses. This paper discusses about all recent trends and technologies so far being used in tactile display development thoroughly. The implemented devices and evaluation parameters are compared to judge better sensitivity, correctness in perception, less recognition rate and comfort in using designed device. This paper also briefs about human skin structure and receptors. This will help in the decision of actuator, vibrating frequency and vibration duration. The various evaluation methods proposed by authors are also discussed with results and findings. This gives guidelines to decide system outcome, controllable variables and intention to use system.
