Abstract
The energy consumed by various nodes of Wireless Sensor Network can be optimized through use of Mobile Sink Nodes. The reduced level of hole formation and better path selection are key objectives for achieving high efficiency. Rendezvous points based multi hop approaches have been proposed as one of many solutions to overcome the constraints of these networks. However assignment of weights for selection of Rendezvous points is the main challenge. In this paper we define an extrapolated grid based scheme that uses extrapolation over the Wireless Sensor Network to define the mobility pattern for a grid path. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
