Abstract
This paper analyses the steady state behaviour of an isolated self-excited induction generator (SEIG) connected to a balanced resistive load. Adaptive Particle Swarm Optimization (APSO) technique has been used for solving the unknown variables i.e. per unit generated frequency and per unit magnetizing reactance. One of the two non-linear equations has been considered. The result is compared with Newton- Raphson method.
