  • Abstract
    This paper presents a model predictive voltage control method for flyback converter. To implement the model predictive control (MFC) strategy, the state-space models of the flyback converter are formulated. The proposed method has a robust, dynamic and rapid response capability to control the flyback converter operating as a buck and boost converter. Four simulation cases, i.e., buck mode, boost mode, buck to boost mode and boost to buck mode, have been conducted in MATLAB/Simulink to verify the performance of the model predictive voltage control method. The simulation results demonstrate that the flyback converter is regulated with low voltage ripple and fast transient response.
