            Abstract :
Core self-evaluations have been widely discussed in order to help understand people´s general characteristics and behaviors. Relatively little research has addressed its relationship with learning satisfaction, especially satisfaction in learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL). In this study, 211 EFL learners were recruited from Yantai University in order to address the issue. Results found that three out of four of core self-evaluations including self-esteem, generalized self-efficacy and internal locus of control, are significantly correlated with students´ EFL learning satisfaction. The results also found that core self-evaluations significantly predicted 24.3% of the variance in students´ general EFL learning satisfaction.
