Abstract :
This paper proposes an efficient power flow sharing and voltage regulation control method based on hierarchical control to minimize the transmission loss of multi-terminal DC grids. Both power electronic converter loss and line loss are taken into consideration. Different from conventional optimal power flow (OPF) algorithm for DC grid, the proposed approach needs neither prior knowledge of grid structure and parameters nor measurement of power flow in each branch. Simulation result shows the proposed method reduces the transmission loss of MTDC by 10%~50% compare with conventional hierarchical voltage regulation control.
