Abstract
This paper proposes a new concept- efficiency power plant (EPP), which is an innovative model of power demand side management (DSM). Traditional generation expansion problems do not consider the impacts of gas emission. Efficiency power plant modeling in generation expansion planning (GEP) considering environmental issue, is proposed in this paper. The objective function is total investment cost minimum which includes fuel cost of convention power plant, EPP investment cost, CO2 and SO2 emission cost. The constraint conditions includes line power flows, the capacity limits of EPP and CPP, the investment cost of EPP and the emissions limits of CO2 and SO2. Interior point method (IPM) is used to solve the proposed model having advantages of fast convergent rate, strong robustness and insensitive to initial value. The proposed model is tested on 18-bus system and the results show that the investment cost and gas emissions are reduced the system considered EPP.
