Abstract :
This paper establishes the aggregated transfer function model of a large-scale PV power generation farm connected to a multi-machine power system for the study of power system small-signal angular stability. The aggregated model can reduce the computational burden and complexity brought about by the inclusion of dynamics of the grid-connected largescale PV farm significantly. In the case that the parameters of the PV farm are not available, it is proposed in the paper that a frequency-response aggregated model of the PV farm can be obtained via a field test. Then the frequency-response model can be used to derive the aggregated transfer function model. In the paper, an example power system connected with largescale PV farms is presented to demonstrate and validate the application of the aggregated model proposed.
