Geothermal energy, a key point in energy and development in China

Energy consumption, environmental protection and pollution would be huge challenges for China in near future especially while at the moment economic growth is pushing the energy infrastructure and consumption in a higher amount. This paper presents the renewable energy technologies as an approach to save and guarantee China´s economy and energy demand against future challenges. Focusing on the potential of geothermal energy in China, the Shaanxi province can be benefited from enormous advantages of this clean energy. Both shallow and deep geothermal energy are studied and the results show the performance of the proposed method for Shaanxi province and Xian city.
