  • Abstract
    This paper describes how IEC 61850 can be applied for distribution feeder automation. Some of the applications are similar to substation applications, but others have specific needs and would be best served by extensions to the standard. In particular it is proposed to add new logical nodes for fault passage indication and voltage presence.
