Abstract :
Integrating the mobility support functionality into the network architecture intrinsically is becoming a key factor for Future Internet Architecture (FIA). This paper proposes a novel network mobility (NEMO) support method in eXpressive Internet Architecture (XIA), a new FIA currently under development as part of the US National Science Foundation´s (NSF) program. We introduce a Rendezvous Agent (RA) providing mobility service for each mobile node and Mobile Router (MR) in XIA. We also set the fallback to RA in mobile node´s DAG to ensure the reachability for every node. Moreover, a RA Binding List (RBL) is created and maintained by MR to accelerate binding update procedure for the mobile nodes inside MR. Our proposed method is effective in complicated mobility scenarios, while simple in network control plane and efficient in data plane.
