Abstract :
To solve troubleshooting problems of vehicles, this paper proposes a novel architecture of vehicle diagnostic system. The system is made up of on-board network layer, business logic layer and cloud service layer. The paper is focused on the development process of the system. The business logic layer includes mobile vehicle platform and equipped vehicle platform. Mobile vehicle platform includes mobile terminals and VCI, and equipped vehicle platform involves designing embedded system hardware and driver, calling JNI layer and developing diagnostic software. In addition, the system uses a modular architecture to meet the requirements of rapid development of new vehicle´s diagnostic functions. The cloud service layer mainly includes data storage server and server management system. The test research in real vehicles shows that the system can not only reliably achieve basic diagnosis and real-time data acquisition, but also has the advantages of further updating, remote diagnosis and the rapid development of new vehicle models. Based on this information, we can carry out in-depth mining and expand the applications, such as real-time traffic estimation and performance estimation of key components.
