Abstract :
In this paper, the impairment of a Coded OFDM (COFDM) signals has been evaluated through simulation imposing various severe channel constraints in combination of Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN), AWGN with Inter carrier Interference (ICI) due to Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) and AWGN with ICI having various m parameters of Nakagami-m fading distribution. Since Reed-Muller codes, with Golay Complementary Sequences play great role of reducing two major drawbacks of the systems such as Peak-to-Mean Envelope Power Ratio (PMEPR) and ICI, are used to coding the information. Bit Error Rate (BER) performance has been investigated for being one of the most pivotal aspects of any telecommunication systems. It is clearly evident from the simulation data of the error rate that Reed-Muller codes not only reduce PMEPR and ICI but also has great robustness against different fading conditions.
