Abstract
This paper proposes a socially oriented scheme for user clustering and content dissemination in device-to-device (D2D) communications. The proposed scheme exploits the interplay of social interactions and user common interests to demonstrate their combined effects on D2D user clustering by considering the physical proximity constraint. In particular, closeness centrality by considering social trust and interest similarity (SI-CC) jointly among users is explored and calculated to identify the set of socially powerful user equipment (SUE) of a cluster. Those SUEs serve as the transmission source or relaying nodes in a cluster. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed clustering scheme in terms of system sum data rate and average content dissemination time.
