Abstract :
This article describes the dynamic analysis of a novel positioning mechanism with swing-arm type actuators using VCM and PZT actuator for optical disk drives. The PZT actuator is designed to deflect as ´S´ shape when voltage is applied. Its dynamic properties and effectiveness of structures design are demonstrated with both simulation and experimental results.
