Abstract :
A wind turbine placed in the vicinity of the radar system, it would have a serious impact on positioning and tracking of the radar performance. Doing the wind turbine multipath scattering research for Radar Cross Section (RCS) is based on the structure of wind turbine and radar work principle. In this paper, selecting the actual radar bands to study. Based on the mathematical model of wind turbine electromagnetic scattering, establishing the wind turbine electromagnetic surface simulation model. Meshing the blades, tower and nacelle surface simulation model with triangle facet, then distinguishing the bright areas and the shadow areas. PO was applied to calculate the wind turbine scattering field of far field which gave the result of wind turbine RCS. The result shows that PO can be applied to calculate the RCS of the wind turbine.
