Abstract :
This paper focuses on the influence of the gaps between two YBCO tapes which were set parallel to each other in the vertical plane and the horizontal plane on AC losses. Since one tape was in the magnetic field which was induced by another tape, the different tape arrangements and gaps between the tapes could influence magnetic field so that AC losses were also influenced. Via the 2 two-dimensional models´ establishment, calculation, simulation and analysis, the changes in the AC losses with the gaps could well be understood. Besides, we have established the experimental platform to measure AC losses and the results of the theoretical models´ simulation and experimental measurements extremely matched the theoretical results.
