  • Abstract
The multi-DOF deflection type PM motor can achieve a range of yaw movement in the context of rotation. Based on the finite element analysis, this paper proposes a multi-DOF deflection type PM motor with a “6-8” rotor-stator structure and builds its finite element model with its electrified strategy. Furthermore, the distribution of the magnetic field and torque of this motor are analyzed and calculated. Through comparing and analyzing the variation of the magnetic and torque characteristics between the original multi-DOF deflection type PM motor with “4-6” rotor-stator structure and the improved one, the conclusion can be obtained that this new structure can solve the problem of torque fluctuations in original structured motors, which can effectively enhance the performance of the multi-DOF deflection type PM motor. The theoretical and experiment results validate the correctness of the presented structure and analysis process, and provide useful references for further researches.
