            Abstract : 
In this paper, a high temperature superconducting (HTS) strand with geometrical symmetric configuration is designed and fabricated. The HTS strand was made from 72 ReBCO coated conductors (ReBCO CCs). In order to study the anisotropy of critical current, the critical current of the strand in self field and in external magnetic field at 77 K was tested, respectively. The results show that the degradation of critical current of strand is much smaller than the single ReBCO CC.
