Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel artificial bee colony (NABC) algorithm for handling electromagnetic inverse problems. NABC consists of a one-position inheritance scheme, a neighborhood-based onlooker bee phase, and a history-driven scout bee phase. All components are designed to accelerate the convergence and improve the performance of standard ABC. Experimental results show that NABC is very competitive in the design of a DC wheel motor.
