Abstract :
Investigations of a generator in single machine double-line infinite-bus transmission system integrated with resistive superconducting fault current limiter (R-SFCL) have been presented in this paper. When a three-phase short circuit fault occurs in one of the two transmission line, R-SFCL in the fault line would operate to limit the current. In some cases, R-SFCL in the other transmission line would be also triggered [1-2]. In this situation, the resistor value and the recovery time of R-SFCL have huge effects on the transient stability of the system. So the problems caused by the installation of the R-SFCL and the influences of R-SFCL on the transient stability of the system have been analyzed by simulation in this paper.
