Research on the reliability of the hierarchical name system

Due to the shortcomings of traditional domain name system, users´ do not satisfy with it. We have designed a new name system which solves the shortcomings. In the novel name system, a component called gateway server is very important. if it breaks down, the name system performance will be brought down dramatically. In this paper, we build models to analyze the reliability of the name system. In the analysis part, we verified the importance of these servers and found some useful outcomes.
