  • Abstract
    Estimation of the number of signal sources is a key problem in the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms. In this paper a new method, based on MUSIC algorithm, is proposed. The estimated signal source matrix is derived with an assumed source number which is larger than the true number. Then an approach is proposed to detect the source number based on the information of the estimated signal source matrix. Simulation results show the efficiency of the proposed method.
