Abstract :
This paper develops a new dual-pass band equivalent circuit analysis for a multi-layer frequency selective surface (FSS) operating in a wide range of frequency band. According to S-parameters of the FSS, the lumped elements in the corresponding circuit prototype can be optimally determined. The equivalent circuit of a multilayer FSS structure can be obtained by cascading the extracted equivalent circuits. Numerical results for the cascaded five-layer FSS is given to demonstrate good performance of the proposed method of the equivalent circuits.
