Abstract :
This article presents a theoretical study on the scattering characteristics of ultra-wideband tightly coupled phased array antenna element in the array environment. The radiation characteristics of the array element is designed at 6-18GHz, with scanning angle range from -45° to 45° in E-plane. Then the antenna mode scattering is calculated numerically. Antenna mode scattering and structural mode scattering and the impact of them on the total scattering field are analyzed. The study has a significant direction to the RCS reduction of ultra-wideband tightly coupled phased array antenna.
