Abstract :
Achieving the control of brushless DC motor by using fuzzy controller is one of effective means to improve motor system performance. This paper designed a fuzzy PID controller to control a brushless DC motor speed. Based on the brushless DC motor model and fuzzy control theory, by using MATLAB platform, a DC motor speed simulation model is build. Simulation results show that the designed controller can real-time adjust PID parameters according to the changing speed of motor, and can improve the time of response, adaptability robustness, and stability of motor system more effectively than conventional fuzzy controller.
