Abstract :
AC modules or micro-inverters (MIC) are an important part of photovoltaic (PV) power systems. In particular, the flyback MIC with a current-unfolder, otherwise known as flyback MIC with pseudo-dc link (FMICpseudo-dc), has attracted a lot of research interest. The objective of this paper is to propose a compact theoretical loss model for the power train when the FMICpseudo-dc operates in the continuous conduction mode (CCM). The theoretical evaluation is compared with experimental results for a 110W digitally-controlled prototype. The loss model shows a good match with the experimental results in the mid-to-nominal power regions.
