Abstract :
In this work, we will seek to model and optimize the energy efficiency of the distillation column of petroleum fractions, especially the gasoline stabilization column to get a better use of energy, increased yield and reduced costs of operation. The calculation of the stabilization column was performed by using Soave-Redlich-Kong (SRK) thermodynamic model, with the help of CHEMSEP software. A technical feasibility study was followed to run the stabilization column at optimum values of pressure, reflux ratio and feed tray to optimize efficiency of the column. The results allowed us to highlight the effect of these parameters on the energy efficiency of the stabilization column. From an economic point of view, stabilization with optimal parameters may contribute to a decrease in expenses related to the energy consumption.
