Abstract :
Solar thermal energy is free and renewable. It can participate in the economy of energy, which therefore contribute to reducing energy costs. We present in this study a solar water heater model with a glazed flat plate detector. This produces hot water using solar thermal energy, which, therefore, could help reduce energy costs. The relevance of this work is the realization of solar water heater. The innovation in this model of solar water heater, figure 1, is characterized by these two modes of operation, solar season (Ss) and cold season (Sf). This mode is automatically carried out by a cell named XOR (exclusive or), which does not exist in the solar water heater known. In the other it has the advantage of being relatively simple, designed and manufactured in Morocco. The prototype was tested and gives good result with a yield of about 68%.
