Abstract :
Today, wind generators have to compete with many other energy sources. Therefore, it is important that they should be cost effective. They need to meet any load requirements and produce energy at a minimum cost per dollar of investment. This paper investigates about the studies of voltage collapse in grid while integrating the wind turbine equipped with squirrel cage induction generator. The aim of this paper is to find wind farms placement with the application of the continuation power flow (CPF) technique in order to achieve the static voltage stability margin. The IEEE 30-bus test system is used to illustrate the efficiency of the method for the placement of the wind farms and the voltage stability enhancement.
