Abstract :
This work investigated the design of a simple and optimized solar photovoltaic water pumping system for lawn sprinkling, cleaning up with water and flushing toilets, on the site of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Mohammedia. Real meteorological data are taken into account for the system sizing. A 160W photovoltaic panel allow at the least 3.256 m3/day of water. A maximum power point tracking controller based on fuzzy logic approach was developed to optimize photovoltaic panel utilization. Simulation results on Simulink/Matlab validated superior performances of the fuzzy logic based controller in comparison with fixed step-size and auto-scaling step-size maximum power point tracking methods.
