Abstract :
In this paper, three-phase Five-level shunt active filter controlled by fuzzy logic current controller which can compensate current harmonics generated by nonlinear loads is presented. Five-level inverters and fuzzy controllers have been successfully employed in several power electronic applications these past years. To improve the conventional PWM controller performance, a new control scheme based on fuzzy current controller is adopted for five-level (NPC) shunt active filter. The scheme is designed to improve compensation capability of (APF) by adjusting the current error using a fuzzy rule. The inverter current reference signals required to compensate harmonic currents use a new method for identifying reference currents will be developed. An advanced control approach based on a multivariable filter is adopted. The novelty of the proposed control approach developed using a multi-variable filter (MVF), which can extract the harmonics content of load current reference, according to the axis of Concordia. The results of digital simulation in the Matlab-Simulink environment of a system power PD3 to thyristor outputs on an inductive load show well the effectiveness of this new technique of extraction of the harmonics of reference.
