Abstract :
Based on the theory of random array, this paper firstly analyzes the characteristics of average pattern formed by two-dimensional random array, which demonstrates the random distribution of array elements can control the pattern. As to the problems of random array elements arrangement, a minimum distance arrangement (MDA) is put forward. And then the performance of this arrangement is validated with simulation compared with independent sampling arrangement (ISA) of density weighted array. At last, these two arrangements are summarized to show the MDA is better in restraining the sidelobe.
