Abstract :
In this paper, a fast time-domain image formation method called the fast backprojection algorithm (FBPA) is proposed for the one-stationary bistatic circular synthetic aperture radar (OS-BCSAR) data processing. It represents the subimages in the elliptical polar grids to reduce the computational load. First, the imaging geometry of the OS-BCSAR is provided. Then, based on the subaperture processing model, the backprojection algorithm (BPA) in elliptical polar coordinate is introduced, and the sampling requirements for the elliptical polar grids of subimages are derived. Finally, the implementation and computational burden of the proposed FBPA is discussed. Simulation results are shown to demonstrate its validity.
