Abstract :
In this paper, a new algorithm to estimate target´s polariza-tion parameters is proposed based on particle swarm optimi-zer (PSO). Here, two mutually orthogonal coded waveforms are transmitted in the same frequency simultaneously with horizontal and vertical polarizations respectively. Then, the returns are received by horizontal and vertical polarizations channels in the meantime. Finally, PSO is used to estimate the polarization parameters of target, which can suppress the errors caused by the cross-correlation noise between two transmitted waveforms. And numerical experiments are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
