Abstract :
For the problems that encountered in present breast cancer detection and imaging systems, such as terrible and unpopular diagnosis experience for time-consuming system processing procedure, image blurring caused by patients´ inevitable motion also due to long diagnosis time, signal echo from normal tissue which is regarded as clutter for imaging and reduce system sensitivity and penetration depth, and etc., a multi-carrier complementary phasecoded (MCPC) radar signal, based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology is applied in this paper. Analysis and simulation result shows that MCPC is very suitable for breast cancer detection and imaging; MCPC signal can be used for multi-antenna parallel work with nearly interference-free properties, which makes fast breast imaging feasible; MCPC signal has self clutter suppression ability for designated area during breast cancer detection, which can be used to improve system sensitivity and imaging quality without resolution loss or additional power requirement.
