MIMO radar waveform design for detection of Rician targets

This paper addresses the waveform design problem of multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) radar to improve the detection performance of Rician targets. The relative entropy associated with the detection problem is employed as the figure of merit. A minorization-maximization (MM)-based method is proposed to tackle the non-convex optimization problem. The proposed method can increase the relative entropy at each iteration and guarantees convergence. Numerical examples demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method.
