Abstract :
Doppler frequency of ground clutter is an important parameter for bistatic radar. To study the variation of Doppler frequency, we give a detailed analysis of Doppler frequency for space-air based bistatic radar in this paper. Based on the geometric model of space-air based bistatic radar, the calculation formula of Doppler frequency is discussed, and the effects on changes of the space-air based platform flight direction and transmitting-receiving sphere centre angle are analysed. The Doppler frequency variation of local clutter scattering point is also studied. The analysis results show that the Doppler frequency of ground clutter is mainly influenced by the space-based platform motion and is related with the space-air based platform configuration.
