Abstract :
A novel method for feature extraction in wideband T/R-R bistatic radar is proposed. With wideband signals, the T/R and R receivers obtain the monostatic High-Range Resolution Profile (HRRP) and bistatic HRRP of the target, respectively. Combining both of the monostatic and bistatic HRRPs and the bistatic geometry, the length and slope angle of a cylindrical target are estimated. Then the experimental simulations are conducted to validate theoretical analysis. This work is helpful to exploiting the capability of wideband bistatic radar systems and enhancing their information acquiring capacity.
