  • Abstract
For the purpose of improving angle resolution and reducing the physical size of the receive array, we used multicarrier frequency in MIMO HFSWR system. Thanks to the usage of large spaced carrier frequencies, better angle resolution is obtained due to a virtual sparse array with bigger aperture than the physical real array, but high slop lobe appears as a drawback. Because of the angle of arriving signals is sparse, theory of compressed sensing (CS) theory is proposed to reconstruct the receiving signal from absence elements in the virtual sparse receive array. After that, adaptive digital beamforming techniques are adopted to form receive beams so as to make the main lobe of the beam point to the desired direction and nulls are steered to the interferences. Simulation results demonstrate that slop lobe is suppressed successfully and beam performances of the proposed method are comparable to that of virtual filled (Nyquist) array.
