Abstract :
The phased array radar seeker plays an important role in modern air-to-air combat. This paper introduces an experimental system which is developed to demonstrate the potential of next generation digital beamforming (DBF) phased array radar seeker. The system mainly consists of Ka-band planar array with subarrays, channel receivers, and a DBF module. It has achieved excellent performance in forming multiple simultaneous receiving beams, cancelling sidelobe or mainlobe jamming, and two dimensional (2D) monopulse angle estimation. Some simulation results of the system are presented in this paper.
