Abstract :
The turbulence clutter may appear in the radar real detecting surrounding from seasons to seasons. The turbulence clutter has motion and Doppler shift. Furthermore, it is normally densely distributed but the single turbulence is small and similar to the target, so that it may cause serious influence on the target detection. This paper proposes a novel method for the identification of turbulence clutter based on connected-component analysis (CCA). The method can effectively identify the region contained turbulence clutter, which can be used to reduce the false alarms of radar detection. Finally, the results of both the simulation and real measured data are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
