Abstract
In the present circumstances in order to gratify the supply demand equation of electrical power the renewable energy source is the only alternative. However it is very difficult to comprehend and exploit renewable energy due to its stochastic character. That´s why it is often cited as an obstacle for the grid integration. In most of the cases current controlled pulse width modulated voltage source inverter is used to interface renewable energy sources with utility grid to improve the efficiency, reliability and power quality of the system. In this paper double band hysteresis current controller for grid connected pulse width modulated inverters has been implemented and the result obtained from simulation is compared with single band hysteresis current controller in terms of switching frequency and total harmonic distortion. The MATLAB-Simulink environment is used to model, study and simulate the system.
