Abstract :
Internet of things (IoT) is an emerging technology that is attaining maturity under which the objects surrounding humans will be blessed with internet. This would result in generation of humongous amount of data which need to be stored and processed for getting optimum benefit from IoT. In this paper we have proposed a generalized architecture which uses Cloud Computing and Big Data for effective storage and analysis of data generated. In a more specific architecture we have shown how Hadoop ecosystem is used as a Big Data solution to help in analyzing the sensor based data produced by IoT system. A case study presented herewith include Smart Power Management system demonstrate the application of the proposed model.
