Channel selection algorithm for MIMO in multipath environment

MIMO technology increases channel capacity and data rates using multiple antennas and multiple receiver chains. In wideband scenario, each receiver has multiple copies of estimated channel matrices, and selection of a well conditioned channel matrix is required for faithful detection. There are ample of methods reported for channel estimation. This paper presents an algorithm which selects a desired channel matrix based on maximization of complex tap coefficients from all available estimated channels corresponding to different delay indexes. The performance of algorithm is evaluated with correlation based channel model via lattice aided detector.
