Abstract
In this paper the problem of visibility in the bad weather conditions is handled. The foggy weather conditions are the cause of degradations in the image. All the relevant information is lost if the images are taken in a bad weather. Due to these weather conditions the performance of the cameras and outdoor surveillance systems are also affected. In order to reduce the degradations caused by the fog and the blur, there is a need to develop algorithms which can give clarity in the image. Many algorithms have been implemented to accomplish the task. The introduction of yellow light in the spectrum of the image gives better results than any of the base algorithms implemented. Using this fact to our advantage the paper presents a new algorithm which is a very simple yet it is an effective approach for getting the images with more clarity.
