Abstract :
This paper presents a zero-tap detection algorithm which works well with the LMS algorithm used to estimate the sparse channel that can be approximated by the FIR model. The proposed algorithm is achieved by considering the estimated-error/tap-output correlation. The simulation results shows that the proposed technique successfully identifies all zero taps and helps to improve the filter´s asymptotic performance.
