Abstract :
Bullington´s (1963) tropospheric reflection model gives good insights into strong over-the-horizon signal or interference. It typically gives a higher signal level than other propagation modes, and sometimes indicates objectionable interference at distances greater than 150 km. We revert the Bullington received power equation for critical site separation distances for radar and satellite ground stations. Polar plots of site coordination distances are shown and compared for 6 and 18 GHz examples.
